Created by NADAAA, a Boston-based architecture, and urban design firm, this house rspects \u201cstrict zoning guidelines while merging with the landscape\u201d, bringing the surrounding nature over the ceiling.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Influenced by the natural beauty and the local history of the region, which was once inhabited by farmers, the designers assemble a building with softwood and natural light to create a warm and breezy interior.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The focal points for this design were the family\u2019s wishes that included the need for sleeping quarters for anywhere between five and twenty-two members of the extended family and the importance of privacy in the area since it has numerous villas nearby. For inspiration, the designers focused on the natural beauty and history of the region, an area that was inhabited once by farmers growing fruits, olives, and grapes for wine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spring Road Residence in Ross, California, a project developed by the Ehrlich Yanai Rhee Chaney Architects and the Surface Design. Surrounded by California oaks and old-growth redwoods, this place offers an idyllic setting for a peaceful retreat from urban life with total privacy. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Throughout the dwelling, we can visualize the application of earthy materials with a neutral color palette, and some finishes like walnut, black metal, and polished concrete floors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The house contrasts the idyllic surroundings with strong accurate lines and forms, allowing the integration of nature in the interiors making them flow dynamically into each other.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
