Imperial Snake Rug takes as its subject the snake, a mythological symbol present in many cultures and bound up with the power of life and with transformation: a black-and-white banded serpent winds around and through a stepped grey frame on a cream ground. Hand-tufted in cream botanical silk, this area rug is handcrafted in Portugal by Rug’Society and is one of the most luxurious of its snake designs, bringing an elegant, elaborate presence to the contemporary living room.
